Taos Supports Taos is a recognized nonprofit charitable organization (501c3) doing business as Taos Immigrant Allies (TIA). The organization is entirely volunteer led and volunteer run. We have no paid staff and no overhead. All donations go to support Taos area residents, especially the most marginalized among us, through direct financial support, educational campaigns, and other programs. We do extensive outreach to inform immigrant communities, and the entire Taos County community, about their rights and the resources that can help them. We support our immigrant neighbors with essential aid and educational opportunities on the path to becoming new Americans. We have organized many forums and brought immigration lawyers, films, former Border Patrol agents, and other immigrant advocacy groups here to speak and inform the community. We speak to business owners, giving them the information they need to protect their employees. As a result, the Taos community has become more informed and engaged with our immigrant community.

TIA has helped people with end of life issues, medical equipment, home repairs, and fees for DACA and other application fees pertaining to legal status. We  have assisted at the border, making trips to deliver donations in the form of clothes, food, money, and medicines to shelters in El Paso and Juarez. We established Little Free Pantries for all of Taos, with the help of about 60 volunteers, and now have 8 pantries throughout town supplying 24/7 emergency access to food. Between our organization and our volunteers, we donate about $16,000 a year to these pantries.
